Start with the kind of gathering you are actually having. It balances the food against guest count, prep time, kitchen capacity and how much attention you want to spend cooking once people arrive.

Before you start

This is a room inside Occasion OS rather than an app of its own — the same engine that builds the plan, reading the same declared kitchen. Menu building here is opinionated about exactly one thing: a menu that reads beautifully and cannot be cooked is not a menu. So it asks what your kitchen is before it asks what you would like to serve, and it says so out loud when the two do not meet.

Nothing needs to be filled in for the first answer to be worth reading. Send the menu to Plan once it holds — that is where the shopping list and the prep clock come from. Individual dishes get opened and tuned in the Dish Library, not here.
